Statement on the Ban Conversion Therapy in Northern Ireland Coalition

Core Issues Trust urges the Stormont Assembly to recognise the flawed, and controversial basis of this motion and to consider the rights and freedoms of the former LGBT minority it targets. Therapy bans and the claimed ‘hostile environment’

A Joint Statement from Core Issues Trust and The International Federation for Therapeutic and Counselling Choice. We live in a world of diverse ideologies and cultural practices. Banning and criminalising will not eliminate poor therapy. We call on the Government to ensure that in future its LGBT advisors are representative of different ideological, religious, non-religious and cultural perspectives rather than becoming a monoculture that leads to dogma and viewpoint discrimination.

Deletion of Core Issues Trust (CIT) Facebook Page

Without warning, Facebook has permanently deleted the Core Issues Trust page, claiming that the charity is in breach of its community standards. Since June 2020, the page has received repeated, malicious interference from LGBT activists who will not recognise those who formerly identified as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgendered.
