Following the success of the London Premiere of "Voices of the Silenced" on Thursday 8th February, we look forward to the Premier screening of the film in the city of Belfast, Northern Ireland.  Home of two unviersities and a vibrant student community, we're looking to finalise access to one of the City's theatre's know for its capacity to host film premiers that challenge us all, and respect the views of minority groups in a diverse society. The date of the City's Premiere screening is being negotiated.

This event follows attempts by aggressive activists in the capital city to close down the screening and to force the event behind church walls, to ensure that the fundamental Christian truths about human sexuality are banished from the public space

We can confirm today that on Tuesday 13th March at 7.30 a screening in Ballynahinch for the town and its surrounds, which is open to the public, will take place at Ballyanhinch Baptist Church, 24 Lisburn Rd, Ballynahinch BT24 8BL.

Those interested in attending this event should book their places on the Voices of the Silenced Eventbrite booking page. Entrance is free (suggested £10.00/person), and all are welcome to attend.

What is the film about?

Voices of the Silenced examines the return of Western European nations to Pansexual Humanism, an ancient philosophy challenged by Judeo-Christian ethics in the Christian era. Two years in the making, this feature documentary was filmed in eight countries. It features more than thirty experts and witnesses who both challenge the "born gay” myth demanding normalisation of homosexual orientation and identity in the church and affirm the right to professional and pastoral support for those seeking change and freedom in sexual expression and feelings.

Prof Robert Gagnon says: "Voices of the Silenced achieves its goal of raising serious challenges to an intolerant liberal fundamentalism on homosexuality by listening to the voices of the oppressed and connecting so-called modern views to Greco-Roman pagan values."

The feature documentary references the Campanian towns of Pompeii and Herculaneum when Titus was Emperor, following the Judean wars which led to the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in AD 70.  In Part 2, to follow, archaeological evidence of a clear Christian witness in this area, just before the eruption of Mt Vesuvius in AD79, is reviewed. In both films, ancient and modern ideologies of sexuality are compared. Testimony of change and attendant professional and pastoral issues are presented. Individual interviews with all participants may be found shortly on voicesofthesilenced.tv.
