News Release Friday 9th August, 2019
On Saturday 10th August 2019, at Word of Life Church Woking, from 7.00-8.30 pm, some of those who have left LGBT identities and sexual practices in conflict with the Christian scriptures, will share their stories and discovery of new pathways when they had feared they had no alternative route, at the “Changed by Love” event. They now see themselves as ‘once-gay’.
The Organisers of Pride in Surrey (Saturday 10th August 2019) state that the “Pride in Surrey” event to be held at Woking Park “will educate the general public and LGBT+ community about the needs, troubles and other aspects” of their culture. Whilst celebrating the achievements of their community, the event aims “to educate those who don’t necessarily understand” it.
But not everyone who experiences homosexual or gender confusions wishes to embrace an LGBT+ identity and lifestyle. Diversity of opinion is fundamental to any educative venture in democratic education, and view-point discrimination becomes indoctrinatory unless divergent viewpoints are heard and debated.
Two Surrey pastors respectfully invite those interested to come to hear another way forward – valuing those leaving unwanted experiences and feelings. Woking Pastor Eddy Valletta from Word of Life Church and Pastor Simon Wyatt from Bethel Christian Assembly in Shalford, Guildford are pleased to offer “Changed by Love – Grace without Borders”, an opportunity to meet and share with those who have replaced their LGBT identity with an identity in Christ and who are finding freedom from unwanted behaviours and feelings. Invitation leaflets1 to the event will be distributed at Woking Park during the day on Saturday morning, 10th August.

With music from X Factor Malta participant Matthew Grech and contributions from those leaving gay and lesbian identities and practices in the UK, come and participate in a relaxed setting to hear about other experiences.
The UK boasts that freedoms of speech and of conscience, in addition to freedom of religion, remain bulwarks of our democratic society. Yet, politicising human sexual ethics, the LGBT Action Plan has been promoted, disregarding the experience of once-gay persons and ignoring parental rights. Relationships and Sex Education (RSE), disregarding the experiences of those unhappy with LGBT+ identities and finding new pathways, is being imposed on our school children. Many Christian churches cannot support this political agenda.
Venue: Word of Life Church 12 Marlborough Road, Woking, Surrey, GU21 5JG. The event was streamed Live Streamed here Time: from 7.00-8.30 on Saturday 10th August, 2019.
