Clinical Psychologist, Dr Joseph Nicolosi is arguably the most influential mental health professional in the field of treating unwanted same-sex attractions. The Thomas Aquinas clinic in California served for more than 30 years offering psychotherapy for thousands of clients. Dr Nicolosi was active in media, through publication and in advocacy for the rights of individuals to receive such help. He mentored and supervised mental health professionals in many world areas, where his publications are still current and well received.
Joseph Nicolosi supported the creation of the International Federation for Therapeutic and Counselling Choice (IFTCC) a multi-disciplinary organisation developing professional and pastoral standards of care for those working in the field of unwanted same sex attractions.
