READ FULL INTERVENTION TO WORKWING SESSION 11

In an ongoing attempt to raise awareness about the growing intolerance within the UK towards faith groups dissenting from state orthodoxy that prevents expressions of faith in the public space, Core Issues Trust will offer a side event at the OSCE in Warsaw, Poland today Monday, 26th of September. This preceeds discussion in the main forum – Working session 11 , which will examine tolerance and non-discrimination (part I) in the OSCE member states. This session includes discussion on prevention and responses to hate crimes in the OSCE area, and combating racism, xenophobia and discrimination, also focusing on intolerance on religious grounds.

The description of the session is as follows:

In advocating tolerance, western states are becoming increasingly intolerant of Christian values in both the public space and private domain.  Religion itself has become the frontier for subversion and state-sanctioned ideology, view-point discrimination and values-neutrality the norm. Behind this so called secular drive is a clear return to Europe’s ancient natural paganism and the rejection of its transcendent Christian foundations.

This session offers an analysis of pansexual humanism and how the ideology is progressing through state support in the United Kingdom with specific reference to mental health, education and the judiciary.

How might the faithful, and those unsupportive of this world view respond to this secular inversion of cherished, tried and tested values, and how ought they to model tolerance?

Leading the session, Dr Mike Davidson says the meeting will consider both pansexuality and postgender ideas and will make use of an abstract entitled "Postgenderism: Beyond the Gender Binary" by George Dvorsky and James Hughes, PhD (2008) to access the mindset behind these ideas. In the discussion about how to model tolerance in response to the increasing prevelance of this strident ideology, the session will watch a short explication by Family Watch International on Comprehensive Sexual Education (CSE) – "War on the Children", on the impact on children of this movement, and also to "The New Atlantis Report on Sexuality and Gender".

The side event will be followed by two further sessions which CIT will lead or contribute to. The second will be on Tuesday 27th at 8.30 am, and the third, led by Paul Diamond and Andrea Williams of the Christian Legal Centre will take place Thursday 29th of September, at 1.00pm.

Core Issues is a non-profit Christian ministry supporting men and women with homosexual issues who voluntarily seek change in sexual preference and expression.
